A leading member of the Committee for Joint Action (CJA) Mr. Kwesi Pratt says the ministers in the Kufuor administration are filling their pockets and instead of their brains.

Mr. Pratt said he spoke to a taxi driver in Accra who said he needed just GH¢ 300 to go to his village to farm.

Nii Moi Thompson: The truth is gradually emerging on the Vodafone scam
In the end, the truth always triumphs. And it will in this messy Vodafone-GT affair. In fact, it is already emerging.
When three weeks ago, based on access to a confidential copy of the sale and purchase agreement, I publicly questioned the wisdom and integrity of the government’s decision to sell to Vodafone 70.0% of what it calls “an enlarged Ghana Telecom group” (made up of GT and 3 fibre optic national assets), I was subjected to all manner of attacks and even ridicule from people who should know better.

NPP statement on running mate
STATEMENT BY NPP CAMPAIGN ON MEDIA SPECULATION REGARDING THE SELECTION OF HIS RUNNING-MATE
The attention of the 2008 NPP Presidential Candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, MP, has been drawn to media speculation regarding the selection of his running-mate. While such speculation has gone on for some time, the publication on the front page of “THE STATESMAN" of Wednesday, 30th July, 2008, gave the impression that the issue had been settled in favour of one of the candidates. That is not the case. The Candidate also wishes to state emphatically that no particular newspaper speaks for him.
The process for the choice of running-mate has involved more extensive consultations than perhaps any other such exercise in our party's history.

Nkansah Replies Obetsebi-Lamptey
It seems as if the NPP government or least certain people in the NPP are never happy unless they do something sinister and mischievous to provoke people and stir up needless controversy.
I could not believe my eyes when I read this headline: “NPP’s Response to NDC”. The statement dated May 8, 2008 and signed by Mr. Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey, Chair, NPP 2008 Campaign Committee. As if that was not enough, Mr. Obetsebi-Lamptey was again on Joy Fm’s Frontpage program held on May 9, 2008, asserting that once you are 40 years old, you cannot change.
